St. Croix Airport Information

The Henry E. Rohlsen Airport is the only airport in St. Croix, but it handles both international traffic and flights coming in from elsewhere in the Caribbean. The best service to this St. Croix airport is offered by American Airlines, which has connections through San Juan, Puerto Rico, from both New York City and Newark, New Jersey. Flying time from these northeastern cities to the airport in St. Croix average four hours. There are also daily direct flights from Miami to the airport in St. Croix aboard American Eagle. Passengers flying in from Europe and Canada will need to take this route to eventually reach the St. Croix airport.

Small island-hopper planes make getting to the airport in St. Croix from other Caribbean islands easy. Twenty flights on two different airlines leave St. Thomas daily, touching down at the St. Croix airport a mere 30 minutes later. If flying to St. Thomas proves easier and you'd prefer to enjoy some nice views from the water, a quick ferry service between Charlotte Amalie and Christiansted is available during the high season. Fares will cost US$35 for a one-way trip.
